
For my product catalog, I was feeling inspired by the American Girl Doll catalogs I would collect as a kid. My family could never afford the dolls so I would just collect the catalogs. However, Doll Eyes is geared towards an older audience of adult aged women that collect dolls and enjoy an edgier style. The different sections in the catalog take inspiration from different alternative subcultures and mention the musical influences behind these movements. It's an appreciation of dolls but also music and alternative styles, all rolled into one.

I feel like I struggled a lot with this project, but I am really happy with the end result. Of course, no project is ever perfect. I am aware of the cognitive dissonance of having an ad for my vodka brand in a magazine selling dolls, and I wouldn't necessarily say Y2K is an "alternative" subculture, but we ball regardless. I really love the aesthetics I chose and i feel like the finished product feels very "me", so I can't give myself too much grief.
